Christina Llanes MabalotMotivational Speaker / Writer / Teacher / MentorChristina Llanes Mabalot is physically blind but with a grand vision. Her extra sensory perception, called “Heartsight," allows her to see with her heart and often "sees" opportunities where others see obstacles. Her HeartSight helps her live fearlessly and joyfully and inspire others to do the same.

Christina - or Tina, as most of her friends and clients know her - was born with a congenital condition called Aniridia and thereby she is legally/100% blind. However, she views her condition as a challenge to overcome and use as an inspiration tool, NOT a barrier.
A Mass Communicator and a Special Educator by education, Cristina earned both AB & M.ED degrees from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She specialized in Early Intervention for the Blind and Multiply Handicapped Children and in Teacher Training through the Hilton-Perkins International Program in Massachusetts, U.S.A.
For Christina, success means purpose and significance. Through her Educational Leadership, Cristina had championed Inclusive Education, especially E-Inclusion, Early Intervention, Disability Sensitivity training programs and Capability Building for the employment of persons with disabilities.
As a Mass Communicator, Cristina produced and hosted “What’s Up Pinoy”, Lowcountry’s (South Carolina) uplifting, motivational, encouraging, inspirational and interactive talk show.
In 1999, Cristina’s story landed on the front page of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The article “This TV Host Can’t make Eye Contact” was circulated in the internet news.
In 2005, she was twice a winner in the International Speech contests of the Toastmasters International (Philippines) Regional Division. Since then, she has been a professional inspirational and motivational speaker, lecturer and facilitator in various conferences.
Integrating her life lessons, education and professional experiences, Tina’s passion is advocating for “Creating a help that helps” In 1988, she established the Tuklasan Center Foundation Inc., a pre-school and special school for marginalized children. In 1995, she set up the Special Action for the Advancement and Rehabilitation of the Handicapped (SARAH), in the Easter College, Baguio City Philippines. The Alternative Physical Therapists (APT), a non government organization of the blind set up in 1996 still stands as a living testimony that Visually Impaired Persons can be employed in a professional setting and can be of service to the community.
Christina is blissfully married to Mr. Silver Mabalot, a physically impaired engineer and partner in advancing noble causes. As a tandem husband and wife have become catalysts for altruistic changes. Children Paulo and Jarah (with Aniridia "legally blind"), have spurred them even higher to visions unlimited.
Blessed with her giftings, education, family and experiences, Christina enjoys touching people’s lives to bring out the best in them.

About Word for the Weak
In this age of uncertainty, our Christian family needs to stand together and seize the opportunity to be light and salt of the world. However, like any other, our community is only as strong as the weakest link. This weekly post is to uplift, motivate, encourage and interact with one another. Let’s fix our thoughts and talk about things that are good, lovely, admirable, excellent and fun
No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.
